Using SunSolve Yield to solve AC
· Malcolm Abbott · SunSolve Yield Videos
It is now possible to define strings that consist of series connected modules. Doing so provides the DC output of the string at the maximum power point and the loss due to module-to-module mismatch. An array can also be defined that consists of multiple strings connected in parallel to an inverter including an ohmic wiring loss. These solving options are enabled on the ‘Options’ tab by selecting the relevant ‘Solve type’ in the top right corner of the panel.
In summary the following features have been added
- SPICE simulation from cell level through to string level
- Calculation of module-to-module mismatch within a string and within an array
- Inverter simulation using an OND file definition
- AC output including standard metrics such as energy yield, specific yield and performance ratio (PR)
